Our next exhibit, Layer by Layer, will open on Thursday, June 13, 2024,

with an opening reception that evening, from 5:30 until 7:30 pm.

Layer by Layer is a group show featuring artists who have worked with

Jody King Camarra at Berkshire Art Center. Collage, an open-ended and

expansive medium, comes from the French word that means “to glue.”

Final work results from an assemblage of many images that can be

combined using photography, transfer processes, and other printing

techniques.

The teacher/ curator, Jody King Camara, who moved to the Berkshires

in 2021, states “Through the act of assembling disparate elements into

cohesive compositions, artists allow intuition to guide their creative

process.

The seven artists who are exhibiting in Layer by Layer are Charles Baum,

Wendy Benjamin, Jody King Camarra, Celia Kahn, Elizabeth Perkins,

Susan Plummer, and Mayra Rodriguez.
