In 2019 Shapiro, champion and co-director of Knox Gallery, received a Martha

Boschen Porter Grant from the Berkshire Taconic Foundation to make a series of

prints at a professional print shop, working with a master printer Marjorie VanDyke at

VanDeb Editions in Long Island City, NYC. She used several different etching

techniques, on copper plates, and worked on a series of prints over several sessions.

After a long break (the pandemic) she recently returned to the print shop and

completed some of the images that she had started over 2 years ago.  Those prints

form the center of this exhibition.
