Michelle Arnot: Think Ink opens on October 28, 2022, with an artist’s talk on Saturday October 29, from 11:00-11:30 a.m.(reception to follow that), and a meet and greet

from 7 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29. (No food or drink is allowed inside the

library at present, but the artist will be available to answer questions.) Arnot, a

Sandisfield resident, works with ink on washi paper and is a ranked master

practitioner in the traditional Japanese arts of shodo (brush writing) and sumi-e (ink

painting). Having progressed between 2013 and 2016 from beginner in kanji (Chinese

characters) to dan (master level), she earned a license to teach. The exhibit of her work

will be on display through the month of November, and the artist will speak about her

work later in the month, so please look for more information in the November issue

of the Monterey News.
